Outside my bedroom window.
I thought it was completely crazy how mad people were getting about the Evo customs hold up. People wanted to cancel their preorders not even a day after finding out about the delayed launch. They were doing exactly what Apple wanted them to do and were missing out on an amazing phone to boot. Now a week later, and possibly having to wait another week, I’m getting a little angry. I’m angry not because I had to wait for customs, but because a Sprint released phone was sent to Best Buy stores before Sprint stores. For those that made their preorder through Best Buy, they got a $50 giftcard for preordering, as well as their phones before my Sprint store knew the freaking phones had been released. I’m pissed because I had to supply the Sprint store, in which I made my preorder through, with this information. I can’t hate on the guys at the store, though. They’re equally as excited to get their hands on their own Evo LTE, but really? Why Sprint? Where’s my fucking EVO? Where’s my fucking $50?
I’m quickly discovering how much I depend on my phone and it’s pretty sickening, actually. I’ve got a sweet ass Kindle Fire and a laptop, but what is by my side? My phone, no matter what phone it is, sadly. Have to say I’m about over rocking this old school BlackBerry. I keep trying to select things by touching the screen. I think my last non-touchscreen phone was over 7 years ago…first Motorola to come out with a full qwerty keyboard.
I can wait, but I don’t want to.

So excited about this…been on repeat all day. Can’t wait for the album to drop.

Broke out the pencil and eraser and then some colored pens and markers, today. I knew there was a reason I didn’t draw…brings out the super girly side of me.
Finished ‘Prison Nation’ a couple nights ago. An amazing and uplifting with happy parts, sad parts, parts that made me angry and in the end left me wondering, what if…

Spent this beautiful day wandering downtown. CG and I went to the Saturday Market, walked the waterfront, went to Powell’s and Reading Frenzy and Blick. Stopped by Imperial to check out the artist’s portfolios. Found a little Lebanese place that CG seemed pretty stocked to find, grabbed a couple things to go, since we had just had gyros and boba tea at the Market. Checked out a couple bike shops and walked across the Burnside bridge. Just the perfect way to spend such an amazing day.
It’s been a fairly creative and productive few days off.
Sunday was family time, of course. Made a white chocolate cranberry bar for dessert. Loved hanging out on the patio, on such a beautiful day, with the fam and my puppy.
Monday was mostly spent Swap-Botting. Made a couple fun ATCs and put a handful of packages together. Got them all sent out, hoping to make the recipients smile, once they arrive to their destination.
Got out of the house around noon, today. Had almost all of my anchors pulled. No more piercings for me, for a while. Have to focus on healing my body, right now. Visited the post office…nothing new there. Took MJ my old Timbuk2 bag for her Vegas trip. Didn’t get to visit with her too long, because she had things to do before heading to the airport, maybe we’ll catch up when she gets back into town. Came home for a nap, then went on a nice walk with CG. He’s got me wanting to get a bike, now. Damn him making me more Portland than I already am. Finishing my night out with some Chopped and attempting to make fruit leather. I’m going to be super stoker if these turn out…I love fruit leather…even better if I can make my own!
